The Crean Lutheran Saints will be playing at home against the Kennedy Fighting Irish at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
Last Saturday, Crean Lutheran was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 30-24 to Cypress. Crean Lutheran has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Crean Lutheran's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Daylin Caamano, who picked up 95 receiving yards and a touchdown, and Justin Dominguez who rushed for 67 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Kennedy put the finishing touches on their fifth blowout victory of the season on Friday. Everything went their way against Valencia as Kennedy made off with a 41-17 win. The win was a breath of fresh air for Kennedy as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Devin Almazan looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 207 yards and four touchdowns. Izaiah Murphy was another key contributor, picking up 53 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
With Crean Lutheran's loss and Cypress' victory, both teams now sport identical 6-3 records.
Everything came up roses for Crean Lutheran against Kennedy in their previous matchup back in September of 2022 as the squad secured a 42-7 victory. Does Crean Lutheran have another victory up their sleeve, or will Kennedy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
