The Madras White Buffaloes will head out on the road to face off against the Corbett Cardinals at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Corbett took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Madras, who comes in off a win.
Last Saturday, Madras made easy work of St. Helens and carried off a 56-35 victory. That 56-35 margin sets a new team best for Madras this season.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 66 points the game before, Corbett were a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 63-21 loss at the hands of Portland Christian. While losing is never fun, Corbett can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 181st, while Portland Christian is ranked fifth).
The victory got Madras back to even at 2-2. As for Corbett, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.
Everything came up roses for Madras against Corbett in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 as the squad secured a 86-44 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Madras since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
