It was a good run, but Gatesville unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 54-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Waco Lions.

Gatesville's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Waco, they pushed their record up to 7-11 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Gatesville and Greenwood will round out the year against one another at at 1:20 p.m. on Thursday. As for Waco, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Waco Lions challenge the Tomball Cougars on Friday.
