It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Fallbrook Warriors can now relate to. They were just a hair shy of victory on Friday and fell 39-38 to La Jolla Country Day. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Despite the loss, Fallbrook still got an impressive performance from Chris Bausch, who rushed for 191 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.3 yards per carry. Jackson Christopherson was another key contributor, rushing for 44 yards and two touchdowns.
Fallbrook has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for La Jolla Country Day, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-3.
Fallbrook does not have any more games scheduled as of now. La Jolla Country Day is on the road again on Saturday and play against Grossmont at 2:00 p.m. on November 25th.
