Laney had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.8 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Josey Eagles 62-33. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Laney has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. As for Josey, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Laney will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Thomson at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Josey, they are taking a road trip to challenge Washington-Wilkes at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Josey is facing Washington-Wilkes at the right time seeing as Washington-Wilkes is stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
