The Beamer Titans are taking a road trip to challenge the White River Hornets at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Beamer has given up an average of 10.8 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
While Beamer's win against Federal Way wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Titans sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 14-12 victory over the Eagles on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Titans have posted against the Eagles since May 4, 2018.
Beamer got a big performance out of Wyatt Posz, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Alex Blue was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, White River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against Decatur, falling 10-0.
Jaxson Whiting was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one double. Those stolen bases marked the first that he has snagged this season.
The victory made it two in a row for Beamer and bumps their season record up to 2-3. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.5 runs over those games. As for White River, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
White River's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Beamer has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .436. It's a different story for White River, though, as they've only averaged .353. Will they be able to contain Beamer's hitters?
Beamer suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to White River in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Can the Titans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
