After soaring to 55 points the game before, the Reeltown Rebels were a bit more limited in their match on Saturday. They took a serious blow against Lanett, falling 55-20. While losing is never fun, Reeltown can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 421st, while the Panthers are ranked 91st).
Despite the defeat, Reeltown saw an underclassman step up: London O'Neal almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 14 rebounds. O'Neal is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down nine or more in the last five games she's played. Crystal Smith was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with two steals.
Reeltown's loss was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-11. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 29.2 points per game. As for Lanett, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 18-4.
Reeltown does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Lanett also has no future games currently scheduled.
