Even though the Dobson Mustangs have not done well against the Mountain View Toros recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Dobson secured a 55-50 W over Mountain View. The win made it back-to-back wins for Dobson.
Donovan Beard continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 20 points along with five assists and three steals. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last seven games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Demetrius Malone, who scored four points along with six rebounds and three blocks.
The victory got Dobson back to even at 9-9. As for Mountain View, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dobson will take on Westwood at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Westwood will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 201st, while Dobson is ranked 86th). As for Mountain View, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Red Mountain at 7:00 p.m.
