3A District 6 recap October 1, 2013
Fans got a thrill when Dakota McDougal and Jon Waggoner connected against Beggs. The connection went for 88 yards, the longest such play in 3A District 6 this season.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Victory Christian beat Henryetta 48-12. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Conquerors.
Kellyville's dynamic duo of McDougal and Waggoner proved tough for the Demons to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. McDougal threw for 176 yards and 2 touchdowns and Waggoner had 154 yards receiving. Chris Myles helped Kellyville's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 22 yards.
Victory Christian's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Conquerors feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Keats Calhoon has thrown for 1,029 yards and 4 touchdowns this season, while PJ McLachlan has 20 catches for 306 yards.
The Ponies are in fourth place, while Victory Christian is in first place.
Kellyville lost to Beggs 55-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. McDougal ran for 49 yards in the loss.
