Brady Skinner was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Alvarado, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Skinner wasn't the only one making solid contact: Sierra Vista kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in five consecutive contests.
Sierra Vista has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.9 runs over those games. As for Clark, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sierra Vista will face off against Del Sol at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Dragons have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.88 runs per game on average), something the Mountain Lions will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Clark, they will challenge Southeast Career Tech at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The Roadrunners' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Chargers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
