The Hermon Hawks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They fell to Foxcroft Academy 57-52. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Hermon in their matchups with Foxcroft Academy: they've now lost three in a row.
Jadon Richard continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Foxcroft Academy, scoring 25 points along with four steals. Those 25 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Silas Topolski, who scored six points along with six steals and five rebounds.
Hermon's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Foxcroft Academy, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hermon is on the road again on Saturday and play against Washington Academy at 2:00 p.m. on December 23rd. Washington Academy will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Foxcroft Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Old Town at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Old Town presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Foxcroft Academy in Maine (Old Town is ranked third, while Foxcroft Academy is ranked 27th).
