Tanner Blackmon put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in March on Monday. He struck out ten batters over 5.1 innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

Blackmon's effort led Murrieta Mesa over Murrieta Valley and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
