Make it six blowout wins for the Silver Lake Mustangs this season. They took their contest on the road on Monday with ease, bagging a 56-11 victory over Harvard. The win was just what Silver Lake needed coming off of a 61-18 loss in their prior matchup.
Silver Lake got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Lana Swanson out in front who scored 12 points along with six assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Swanson has scored all season. Katy Soucek was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with four steals.
Despite the defeat, Harvard saw an underclassman step up: Tabi Forney scored ten points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Forney is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.
Silver Lake is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. As for Harvard, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-14.
Silver Lake's road trip will continue as they head out to face Wilcox-Hildreth at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Hopefully Wilcox-Hildreth focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 last Saturday. As for Harvard, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Elba at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Elba focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 38 on Tuesday.
