The Eagle River Wolves's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 63-50 to West Anchorage. Eagle River lost against West Anchorage in their previous head to head back in February of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 67-15 score last time.
Despite the loss, Eagle River still got an impressive performance from Brooklyn Rollman, who scored 23 points along with eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Gabby Palozzini, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds.
Eagle River's defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-1. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 29.2 points per game. As for West Anchorage, their win bumped their record up to 1-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eagle River will take on Palmer at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. West Anchorage will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Service at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd.
