The Turner Trojans will face off against the Janesville Parker Vikings at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in Turner's favor as the squad sits on six straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Janesville Parker has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
On Thursday, Turner beat Evansville 6-1. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Olyvia Piranio spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Turner let Maddy Hoenig and Autumn Meris run wild. Hoenig went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double, while Meris went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double. That double marked the first that Meris has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Jayla Jackson, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Turner kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Janesville Parker had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They skirted past Madison West 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Vikings have posted since March 27th.
Lilly Keller spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and three unearned) runs on five hits and racked up seven Ks.
At the plate, Delaney King was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Donnavee Kong, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Turner picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 4-2. As for Janesville Parker, their victory bumped their record up to 3-7.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Turner has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.3 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Janesville Parker struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.6 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Turner skirted past Janesville Parker 6-4 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Will the Trojans repeat their success, or do the Vikings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
