Londonderry strolled into their game on Friday with an undefeated record and they left with the same. They blew past the Nashua South Purple Panthers 12-1. The Lancers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matches by six runs or more this season.

Abby Austen made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Riley Campo was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Ginny Flatherty was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and two runs.

Londonderry always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .526. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Nashua South only posted an OBP of .208.

Londonderry's victory was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-0-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average this season. As for Nashua South, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Londonderry is set to take on their familiar foe Windham at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Lancers 0.8, the Jaguars 2.1) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Nashua South will face off against rival Winnacunnet at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
