After two games on the road, Glendale is heading back home. They will take on the Muir Mustangs at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Glendale's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five games.
Even though Burbank scored an imposing 56 points on Tuesday, Glendale still came out on top. Glendale secured a 62-56 W over Burbank. Given Glendale's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 369th, while Burbank is ranked 883rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Muir ended up a good deal behind Crescenta Valley on Tuesday and lost 66-51. Muir has struggled against Crescenta Valley recently, as their game on Tuesday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Glendale is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. As for Muir, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-13.
Glendale strolled past Muir in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a score of 75-61. Will Glendale repeat their success, or does Muir have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
