The Roxana Shells scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past Bunker Hill 73-41 at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Roxana has managed all season.
Roxana found their leader in underclassman Sean Maberry, who scored 21 points along with six assists and six rebounds. Maberry hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Walleck, who scored 18 points along with two steals.
Roxana pushed their record up to 14-9 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.6 points per game. As for Bunker Hill, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-16.
Roxana will head out on the road to take on Breese Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Breese Central is coming into the match hot, having won their last ten games. As for Bunker Hill, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Mulberry Grove at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Mulberry Grove focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Tuesday.
