Wrangell and Susitna Valley squared off in some playoff action  on Friday, but Wrangell had to settle for second. They took  a  3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Susitna Valley Rams.  Several Wolves players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Kayla Young, who  had six  digs and four  aces. That's the most  aces  Young has posted since back in October.
 Even though they lost, Wrangell  was lethal from the service line and  finished the game with 14  aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  served at least 11  aces in eight consecutive  matches.
 Wrangell's defeat dropped their record down to 22-7-1. As for Susitna Valley, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won nine of their last 12 matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 37-14 record  this season.
 Wrangell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Susitna Valley, they also  wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  game,  a  3-1  victory against Sand Point on the 7th.
