The Philo Electrics will head out on the road to face off against the Bishop Hartley Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Philo has struggled recently with four defeats in a row, while Bishop Hartley will arrive with four straight victories.
Last Friday, Philo lost to Maysville at home by a decisive 24-7 margin.
Meanwhile, Bishop Hartley got themselves on the board against St. Charles on Friday, but St. Charles never followed suit. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Cardinals 31-0 at home. The result was nothing new for Bishop Hartley, who have now won five games by 31 points or more so far this season.
Bishop Hartley found their leader in underclassman Robert Lathon, who rushed for 296 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 13.5 yards per carry. Xavier Martin fuller made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Philo's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 5-5. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 9-1 Sheridan and 8-2 John Glenn (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 72.5% over those games). As for Bishop Hartley, their win bumped their record up to 8-2.
