Baseball Recap: Altamont Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Altamont made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Victory Christian, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Altamont Knights blew past the Victory Christian Lions 13-2 on Monday. Considering the Knights have won four matches by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory was the third in a row for Altamont, bringing their record for this year to 6-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Victory Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Altamont will square off against Locust Fork at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Victory Christian, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Donoho at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Victory Christian has given up an average of 9.5 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
