The Franklin Tornadoes won the last time they faced the Pittsfield Panthers, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Franklin strolled past the Panthers with points to spare, taking the game 53-35.
When it comes to explaining why Pittsfield lost, one person who can't be blamed is Brayden Pelletier. Despite the final result, he scored 18 points. That was a full 51.4% of Pittsfield's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Justin Rivera was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Franklin has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Pittsfield, their loss dropped their record down to 1-12.
Franklin will be playing at home against the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in New Hampshire (Moultonborough Academy is ranked 56th, while the Tornadoes are ranked 64th). As for Pittsfield, they will square off against the Mules at TBD on Friday.
