The DuSable Panthers will head out on the road to square off against the Hancock Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. DuSable's defense has only allowed 21.2 points per game this season, so Hancock's offense will have their work cut out for them.
DuSable suffered their closest defeat yet this season on Friday. They fell just short of Catalyst-Maria by a score of 29-27. DuSable has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the defeat, DuSable got a solid performance out of Damaya Plant, who scored 19 points. That was a full 70.4% of DuSable's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lanae Harris, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, Hancock waltzed into their game on Friday with six straight wins but they left with seven. They came out on top against Corliss by a score of 28-15.
DuSable's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Hancock, they pushed their record up to 8-2 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road.
DuSable took a serious blow against Hancock in their previous meeting back in November of 2022, falling 37-0. Can DuSable avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
