The Barron Collier Cougars posted their biggest win since November 30, 2023 on Friday. They blew past Key West 56-32. With Barron Collier ahead 35-10 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
PEYTON HEFFLEFINGER continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 27 points along with nine rebounds. That's the first time this season that she pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Rebecca Van't Hoff, who scored a point along with six rebounds and five assists.
Barron Collier's victory bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Key West, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-11.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Barron Collier will square off against First Baptist Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Key West won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Palmetto Ridge at 1:00 p.m. on January 20th. Hopefully Palmetto Ridge focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 31 last Friday.
