Marco Castro Goes Supernova in Kankakee Valley Win
Marco Castro helped snap Kankakee Valley's five-game losing streak. Castro turned in nothing short of a gem on Friday, rushing for 213 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.8 yards per carry, and also picking up 32 receiving yards. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 105 rushing yards dating back to last season.
Castro might have his next game, a home matchup with Munster, circled on his calendar. Castro rushed for 320 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.7 yards per carry the last time he and the Mustangs duked it out back in October of 2023.

Willy Shearer Delivers Electric Performance Vs Hammond Morton
Hobart had to settle for second on Friday, but Willy Shearer sure wasn't going down easily. Hammond Morton had no answer to Shearer as he rushed for 79 yards and three touchdowns. Hobart is 2-1 when Shearer posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 2-3 otherwise.
Unfortunately for Hammond Morton, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Shearer. Shearer rushed for 230 yards and five touchdowns the last time he and the Governors duked it out back in October of 2023.

Big Game from Kalwinski As Lowell Won 36-19
Brody Kalwinski was a major factor in Lowell's victory over Munster on Friday. Nobody could stop Kalwinski as he rushed for 43 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 123 yards and a touchdown on only seven passes.
Kalwinski must have Munster's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Kalwinski rushed for 103 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries, and also threw for 39 yards and a touchdown the last time he and the Mustangs duked it out back in October of 2023.

A Season-Best Performance from Diego Arroyo Leads Kankakee Valley over Highland
Diego Arroyo produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Kankakee Valley to the win on Friday. Arroyo rushed for 22 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 127 yards and a touchdown on only ten passes.

Colton Scott Turns in Season-Best Performance
Colton Scott produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Lowell to the win on Friday. Scott rushed for 85 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 56 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
Munster's probably not too fond of Scott given he always seems to get the better of them. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Scott saw the Mustangs), he rushed for 118 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.
