Nederland had lost seven straight headed into Monday's matchup, but Reya Levy didn't let it get to eight. Everything went the Panthers' way against the Golden View Classical Academy Sentinels on Monday as they made off with a 3-0 win for which the team can thank Levy, who had six aces and four digs. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played.

Nederland never let Golden View Classical Academy on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-15, 25-17.

Nederland's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-8. As for Golden View Classical Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Nederland will face off against rival Addenbrooke Classical Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Golden View Classical Academy is set to take on their familiar foe Aurora West College Prep Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
