The McMichael Phoenix were the 34-26 winner over the T.W. Andrews Red Raiders when they last played one another back in September of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. McMichael took a serious blow against T.W. Andrews on Friday, falling 48-13. It was the first time this season that McMichael let down their fans at home.
Correy Mcmanus jr. got back to being his usual excellent self, as he rushed for 313 yards and four touchdowns on only 14 carries. Devin Hackstall was another key contributor, rushing for 126 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries.
McMichael has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. As for T.W. Andrews, their victory was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 6-4.
McMichael does not have any more games scheduled as of now. T.W. Andrews will head out on the road to face off against North Stanly at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
