When
Jordan Haley of
Braymer (Mo.) completed his four-year career as an 8-man football quarterback, he didn't just break national records in all career passing categories – he obliterated them.
Haley finished his career with 1,050 completions, which was over 200 more than No. 2 at 801. His 1,684 attempts are nearly 300 more than No. 2, which was 1,389. Kolby Reynolds of
North Nodaway (Hopkins, Mo.) previously held both the completions and attempts records.

ScoringHaley's yardage total is even more impressive. He finished his career with 15,361 yards, which is nearly 3,700 yards more than Reynolds' total of 11,610.
But the most impressive stat is Haley's career touchdown passes. Steven Willhite of
Pattonsburg (Mo.) held the previous record with 171. Haley finished his career with 258 – a 50 percent improvement on Willhite's total.
Haley's exploits, along with those of Reynolds and Willhite, are all part of the most recent update to the MaxPreps National High School 8-Man Football Record Book. Career records have been added for passing, rushing, receiving and scoring.
While Haley is the clear leader in the career passing numbers, John Lesser of
Liberty Christian (Richland, Wash.) and Cory Eikmeier
Dodge (Neb.) both hold multiple rushing and scoring records.
Lesser, who played from 2012 to 2015, holds the record for all-time rushing yardage with 9,019. He also ranks No. 1 all-time in career points with 1,076. Eikmeier, meanwhile, played from 1993 to 1996 and holds national records for career touchdowns with 156 and career rushing touchdowns with 143.
Kaleb Oveson of
Wallowa (Ore.) holds a huge lead in career receiving yardage. His 6,426 yards are nearly 1,400 yards more than the No. 2 receiver. His 319 receptions also ranks 30 catches more than the No. 2 receiver.
