The Eastern Warriors won the last time they faced the Georgetown G-Men, and things went their way on Thursday too. Eastern walked away with a 51-42 win over Georgetown. The win made it back-to-back wins for Eastern.
Several G-Men players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Morgan Preston, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabrielle Ernst, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds.
The victory got Eastern back to even at 4-4. As for Georgetown, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-4.
Eastern won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Western Brown at 6:00 p.m. on December 29, 2023. Western Brown presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Eastern in Ohio (Western Brown is ranked 105th, while Eastern is ranked 461st). Georgetown will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Fayetteville-Perry at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
