Even though the Deer Valley Wolverines scored an imposing 56 points on Wednesday, the Fremont Tigers still came out on top. Fremont put the hurt on Deer Valley with a sharp 81-56 victory. For Fremont, this counts as revenge for the 67-50 defeat Deer Valley walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Fremont to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jaylen Wheeler, who scored 25 points along with 6 rebounds. Ozmandias Savage was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds.
Fremont's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Deer Valley, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Fremont will be playing in front of their home fans against Richmond at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Richmond is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Deer Valley will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Alhambra at 7:30 p.m. on November 30th. Hopefully Alhambra focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Tuesday.
