North Medford has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on The Central Catholic Rams on Friday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, North Medford faced South Medford in a battle between two of the state's top teams. North Medford didn't even let South Medford onto the board and left with a 10-0 victory.
Landyn Meeker and Jeremiah Robbins were among the main playmakers for North Medford as the former rushed for 105 yards on only ten carries and the latter rushed for 131 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Central Catholic put another one in the bag last Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past David Douglas 76-0 at home. Fans of Central Catholic have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.
Cru Newman continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 32 yards and two touchdowns, while also throwing for 118 yards and two touchdowns on only nine passes. Killian Sombe was in the mix as well, providing Central Catholic with two touchdowns.
North Medford's win was their fifth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 7-2. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-9 McNary and 2-7 Grants Pass (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 37.8% over those games). As for Central Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 9-0.
