The Cedarcrest Red Wolves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 26 points or more this season. They breezed by Cascade on the road to the tune of 61-16. With Cedarcrest ahead 35-11 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Cedarcrest's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kiki Anderson led the charge by dropping a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. The game was Anderson's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Avery Dicer, who scored eight points along with 14 rebounds and three blocks.
The victory makes it two in a row for Cedarcrest and bumps their season record up to 5-7. As for Cascade, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 3-2.
Cedarcrest will head out on the road to face off against Archbishop Murphy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Archbishop Murphy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Cedarcrest in Washington (Archbishop Murphy is ranked 37th, while Cedarcrest is ranked 215th). As for Cascade, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Shorewood at 7:15 p.m.
