River Oaks owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Franklin Academy Cougars 1-0. The one-run effort marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Makaih White was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

River Oaks is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games. Franklin Academy now has a losing record of 1-2.

Coming up, River Oaks will head out to take on Prairie View Academy at 6:00 p.m. on March 11th. River Oaks' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Prairie View Academy's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Franklin Academy, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Briarfield Academy at 4:00 p.m.
