Baseball Recap: Landstown Has No Trouble Against Hedgesville

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Ocean Lakes, Landstown was happy to have turned things around on Monday. Everything went their way against Hedgesville as they made off with an 11-1 win. Landstown might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by seven runs or more this season.

Colin Kim and Jordan Hunt did most of the damage at the plate: Kim went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double, while Hunt scored two runs while going 1-for-2. Patrick Warshaw also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Landstown's record now sits at 7-2. As for Hedgesville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-4 record this season.

When Landstown and Hedgesville next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. The Eagles will square off against First Colonial and their four-game winning streak at 4:00 p.m. on the 22nd. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Landstown 3.2, the Patriots 1.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Hedgesville will try to stop Kellam's three-game winning streak when they meet at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
