The Lewiston Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a 56-37 bruising from Lourdes Central Catholic. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Lewiston of the 61-56 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2023.
Despite the loss, Lewiston still got an impressive performance from Everett Bohling, who scored 16 points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Brady Bledsaw, who scored four points along with six assists and three steals.
Lourdes Central Catholic got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Nolan Beccard out in front who scored 15 points. That's the first time this season that Beccard scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Trevor Tesarek, who scored nine points.
Lewiston's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Lourdes Central Catholic, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-6.
Lewiston will take on Pawnee City at TBD on Tuesday. Hopefully Pawnee City focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 last Tuesday. Lourdes Central Catholic won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Elmwood-Murdock at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th.
