The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Nebraska (Mercy is ranked 213th, while the Falcons are ranked 207th).
Winning is just a little bit easier when you make six more threes than your opponent, a fact Mercy proved on Saturday. They secured a 41-37 W over Concordia.
Mercy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Madisyn Grzebielski led the charge by scoring 13 points along with two steals. Melina Nelson was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, Lincoln Northwest's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their 12th straight defeat. They were dealt a 58-29 loss at the hands of Seward.
Mercy's victory bumped their record up to 4-12. As for Lincoln Northwest, their loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-15.
