After four games on the road, Brawley is heading back home. They will take on the Southwest EC Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, Brawley came up short against the Tigers and fell 61-48. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Brawley in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now lost six in a row.
Despite the defeat, Brawley got a solid performance out of Adam Duran, who scored 14 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Duran has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ethan Flores, who scored seven points.
Meanwhile, Southwest EC's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their 19th straight loss. They fell just short of Holtville by a score of 44-42.
Brawley's defeat dropped their record down to 14-13. As for Southwest EC, they dropped their record down to 2-20 with that defeat, which was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Brawley skirted past the Eagles 42-40 in their previous matchup last Friday. Will Brawley repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
