There's no place like home for the Dakota Ridge Eagles, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They blew past Conifer 59-18 at home on Monday. That 41 point margin sets a new team best for Dakota Ridge this season.
It was another big night for Maryn Talyat, who scored 18 points along with seven assists and three steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last nine times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kate Barbic, who scored 12 points.
Dakota Ridge pushed their record up to 8-7 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Conifer, they are on a 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dakota Ridge will challenge the Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Colorado (Littleton is ranked 123rd, while the Eagles are ranked 134th). As for Conifer, they will head out on the road to challenge the Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Alameda comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 22 points in their last five games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
