Baseball Recap: Naselle Extends Road Winning Streak to Four

Naselle barely beat Oakville the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Comets' pitchers stepped up to hand the Acorns a 13-0 shutout on Friday. Considering the Comets have won four contests by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Naselle pushed their record up to 6-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Oakville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Naselle will welcome Wahkiakum at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mules will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Comets surely won't give up without a fight. As for Oakville, they will head out to square off against Ocosta at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
