Floresville is 2-8 against Somerset since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. After a string of three wins, Floresville's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. The match between Floresville and Devine wasn't particularly close, with Floresville falling 44-30.
The losing side was boosted by Jordin Johns, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and four steals. She hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jia Johns, who scored four points along with three steals.
Somerset can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They came out on top against Pearsall by a score of 40-27.
Floresville's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-12. As for Somerset, their victory bumped their record up to 8-20.
Everything came up roses for Floresville against Somerset in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 57-23 victory. Does Floresville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Somerset turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
