On Thursday, West Florida take on Tate at 6:30 PM. It might come down to the wire as the game is expected to be close.
West Florida took care of business in their home opener. They won a contest that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by Escambia 8-7. The score was all tied up at the break, but West Florida was the better team in the second half.
Meanwhile, Tate had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. Tate weren't too far behind, but the team still lost 42-48 to Navarre last Thursday.
West Florida's win lifted them to 1-0 while Tate's loss dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if West Florida can add another positive mark to their record or if Tate can shake off the loss and take the spring out of West Florida's step.
