South Hills's game  last Tuesday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Wednesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the West Covina Bulldogs  a   16-0 shutout.  On the hitting side, South Hills got a  massive  performance out of  Mikayla Sta. Ana, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with four  runs, four  RBI,  and one  triple. The dominant performance gave  Sta. Ana a new career-high in  runs. The team also got some help courtesy of  Katelyn Saguin, who  went 3-for-4 with one  home run, four  RBI,  and two  runs.
 South Hills  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  struck out at most five  strikeouts every time they've taken the field this season.
South Hills now  has a winning record of 3-2. As for West Covina, their  loss was their first of the  season and  makes their record 2-1-1.
 Looking ahead, South Hills is taking a road trip to  take on Elsinore  at 3:00  p.m.  on Thursday. South Hills is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.2  runs per game  this season. As for West Covina, they will head out on the road to  face off against  Diamond Bar  at 3:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
