A well-balanced attack led the Dalton Catamounts over the Cartersville Hurricanes in every quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. Dalton strolled past the Hurricanes with points to spare, taking the game 66-51. That's two games straight that Dalton has won by exactly 15 points.
Dalton got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was CJ Weaver out in front who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Weaver has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Drew Snyder, who scored 21 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Cartersville lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Reed Ezell, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Baldwin, who scored 12 points.
Dalton has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-12 record this season. As for Cartersville, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-12.
Dalton will head out on the road to challenge the Colonels at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Cartersville, they will be playing at home against the Wildcats at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Woodland is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
