On Monday, McKinley Tech was able to grind out a solid victory over Southern Maryland Christian Academy, taking the game 54-46. The victory made it back-to-back wins for McKinley Tech.
McKinley Tech's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Demontae Neclos, who scored 20 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Neclos has scored at least 25% of McKinley Tech's points. Another player making a difference was Marcus Dunbar, who scored 17 points along with 6 rebounds.
McKinley Tech's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Southern Maryland Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McKinley Tech will take on Takoma Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Southern Maryland Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Calverton at 7:00 p.m. on December 14th.
