Basketball Recap: Bear Lake Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

Bear Lake proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 38) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Baldwin Panthers 44-42. Winning may never get old, but the Lakers sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Leading Bear Lake to victory were Myles Harless and Grady Harless. Myles dropped a double-double with 13 points and 17 boards, while Grady posted 21 points and eight rebounds. Grady is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last seven games he's played. Tyler Hallead was another key player, putting up four points.

Bear Lake's record is now 13-8. As for Baldwin, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-10.

Bear Lake didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 69-16 victory against Crossroads Charter Academy on the 21st. As for Baldwin, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Panthers take on the Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
