Ezell-Harding Christian fell 66-56 to Silverdale Academy on Saturday. While losing is never fun, Ezell-Harding Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 98th, while Silverdale Academy is ranked 18th).
Silverdale Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kennedy Okpara, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds. Okpara hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for five straight games. Brett Wright was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with seven rebounds.
Ezell-Harding Christian's loss dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Silverdale Academy, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 14-0.
Ezell-Harding Christian will head out on the road to face off against Lancaster Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Silverdale Academy will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Loudon at 2:30 p.m. on December 28th. Loudon is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
