MacArthur has won four straight games at home, while Spring has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Generals will host the Lions at 6:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
MacArthur's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Aldine 15-0.

Lizandra Garcia made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (five). She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.
In other batting news, MacArthur got a massive performance out of Amanda Morales, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave Morales a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ariana Castillo, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
MacArthur always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Aldine only posted an OBP of .333.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Spring). They put the hurt on Eisenhower with a sharp 23-2 victory on Friday.
Mikayla Zepeda looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Hailey Jones-Calais was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. She has been hot recently, having also posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Xianne Bettis was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, four RBI, and two doubles.
MacArthur has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-9-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Spring, their victory bumped their record up to 11-8.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. MacArthur hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .348. However, it's not like Spring struggles in that department as they've averaged .411. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
MacArthur suffered a grim 11-1 defeat to Spring when the teams last played back in March. Will the Generals have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more softball content.
