The Lincoln Fighting Zebras waltzed into their game on Tuesday with three straight wins but they left with four. They walked away with a 57-46 win over Nevada Union. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Lincoln also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Jacob Butler was his usual excellent self, scoring 14 points along with five rebounds and three blocks. Butler is absolutely dominating the block category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Frankie Toney was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Lincoln's win bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Nevada Union, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-7.
Lincoln will head out on the road to square off against Placer at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Placer's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matches. As for Nevada Union, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West Park at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. West Park has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 438 points over their last six matches.
