He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run while going 3-for-4. Those  three  hits gave  him a new career-high.

 In other batting news,  Tate Hammond was  incredible,  scoring three  runs and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in all five of his plate appearances. Those  three  runs gave  him a new career-high.  Lucas Guggenheim also deserves some recognition as  he  scored his first  run of the season.
Meanwhile,  winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Woodrow Wilson). Everything went their way against Compton on Wednesday as Woodrow Wilson made off with  a  17-1 win. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest  victory of the  season.
 Cole Mountain looked comfortable as he  struck out six batters over  three innings while giving up just one earned run off   one  hit (and only one walk).
 On the hitting side,  Nathaniel Parris was a standout: he scored a  run and  stole four bases while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Rudy Carlos, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-2.
 Woodrow Wilson  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .600. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
 Woodrow Wilson has  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record  this season. The  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 6.5 runs over those games. Long Beach Poly's record now sits at 4-8.
