The Apponequet Regional Lakers pushed their score all the way to 56 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 63-56 to Somerset Berkley Regional. Apponequet Regional lost against Somerset Berkley Regional in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 67-54 score last time.
Somerset Berkley Regional got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Brendan Mcdonald out in front who scored 25 points. Another player making a difference was Mason Medeiros, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Apponequet Regional now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Somerset Berkley Regional, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Apponequet Regional will be home for the holidays to greet Greater New Bedford RVT at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
